The Pork Demon

We once had a neighbor who told me she was eager to move. Not because of us, her dear neighbors, though. But because she missed eating pork. Didn’t follow that logic? HUH? Doesn’t make much sense to you, either?

Well, before she moved into the house, the owner informed her that she couldn’t eat pork in the house. Why? A spirit lived in the house that forbid the eating of pork. The owner told her that if she cooked pork or ate pork in the house, something bad would happen to her or her family members.

I asked her what she thought would happen. “I don’t know!” she said, “But I don’t want to find out.”

Unsurprisingly, this neighbor didn’t last long. She and her family moved just a few months after initially moving in.

So, beware of pork demons. They may make you lose your friendly neighbor.
